The Expanded Cinema workshop organized by Mono No Aware in Brooklyn began with an introduction to different types of film projectors and their internal structures. Differences in performance and operation across various 16mm projectors by brand and model were examined, alongside hands-on interaction with a range of machines, including rarer 8mm projectors.

In the second part of the workshop, we experimented with a range of projection techniques, including multi-screen projection, the use of crystals and filters, and spatial projection setups. Through collaboration, we developed and presented a collective projection performance.
